I wanted to write a special post for Mother’s Day but the
words wouldn’t come to me and I wanted to be authentic. Being a mom has its ups

helps me navigate through the adventure and for that I am grateful.
My appreciation for the love of a mom has deepened so much
recently with my own mother being here with me as I wait out these last few
weeks of pregnancy on bed rest. She has been a true example of selflessness.
She took leave from her new job, she cooks and cleans daily,
she makes sure that I’m eating and drinking water, and she takes me to all my
appointments. It doesn’t end there, she’s been a super grandma making sure the
kids eat dinner on time, have snack for school, laundry washed and put away,
bath time and bedtime routine is on track.
These are tasks I’d normally do but can’t, and she’s stepped
in with no complaints. That’s love. I’m in awe of her. She saw we needed help
and she just sacrificed her time, friends, lifestyle, etc to come in and keep
the family running.
It’s been a true visual testament to the unconditional love
a parent has for their child(ren) and I can only hope I measure up to being as
wonderful, caring, loving and selfless a parent as she is.
Mom, I am eternally grateful for your unwavering love and
support. I never have to question if you will be there for me. Thank you, thank
you, thank you – I can’t say it enough. It’s not enough, but I hope you know how
much you are appreciated, how much it means to have you here, and how much I
