Recently I was contacted by The Retail Life to do a review on a product from Lush, I was so excited because I’ve never been in the store but I’ve always wanted to go in and this gave me the perfect excuse!
The staff was very helpful in educating me about their products and the different items they have available. Did you know they have solid moisturizers?! I didn’t! But they are so cool! All their items are organic and made from everyday natural ingredients like honey, oatmeal, lavender, and sea salt just to name a few.
At LUSH they have a very simple philosophy:
We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.
We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.
We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
* We also believe words like fresh and organic have honest meaning beyond marketing.
After getting a tour of the store and all the products I decided to sample the Sea Vegetable soap bar, The Charity Pot body lotion, and I just HAD to buy the Whoosh jelly soap! It’s basically jello AND soap! I knew I’d have way too much fun with that in the shower!
Of course as soon as I got home I hopped in the shower to test all my new products out! I have to say I am a new fan and definitely plan on visiting again. I really admire the fact that they make such quality and affordable products that are also green and sustainable. People! We’re basically saving the world when we bathe with their products!
Have any of you every tried LUSH before? What’s your favorite product?
